Barbara Jean Osterland

April 25, 1936 - January 27, 2022

Barbara Jean Osterland, age 85, of Casco Twp. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 27, 2022. She was born April 25, 1936 to the late Frank and Barbara Kammer. Barbara married Leslie Osterland on May 5, 1956 in Richmond and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2021. Barbara was a hairstylist in Richmond and Adair for many years where she gained many friends and new relationships. Barbara was a lifetime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, in Richmond and helped out with numerous events church would put on. She enjoyed going on vacations with her late husband and many casino bus trips. Barbara loved polka dancing, cooking and baking, but most of all spending time with her family and watching her kids and grandkids in their sports and music concerts. She is survived by her children; Dan (Debbie) Osterland, Lee (Sandi) Osterland, Alan (Nikki) Osterland, Tricia (Jason) Millbrand; grandchildren, Jordyn, Michael, Jessica, Ashley, Benjamin, Gaston, Gracianne, Emma and Claire; great grandchildren, Brody, Rogue, Sloan, Scarlett and Alayna; siblings, Pat Scheuer, Daniel Kammer and Donald Kammer, along with several nieces and nephews. Barbara is preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Kammer, David Kammer and Dorothy Reichhart. A funeral mass will be Monday February 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church Richmond. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Richmond. Visiting hours are Sunday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at church.
