Mr. Gramer -as we kids called him-was our Springborn Rd. neighbor for a couple of decades. We kids all played together and pretty much grew up together. Many weekends found Mr. and Mrs. Gramer chillin’ and playing euchre with my parents while we kiddos tried to “stay up late” and snag a few extra snacks. There was always a lot of laughter if Mr. and Mrs. Gramer were in the room; he was one of the wittiest people I knew and as a couple they were even funnier. He was an accomplished handyman and his projects always interested and impressed me. He never hesitated to share a smile and his gentle demeanor put anyone at ease. He was more than my friend’s dad or my parents’ friend-he was a kind man who will continue to be missed by many.

To the Gramer Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Gramer's passing. Many fond memories of his great personality and his smile.
When I was a teenager my mother (Grace Wiseman) would send me to the barber shop with my younger brothers. Mr. Gramer would only have to say, What's up", and my younger brothers would share everything that was happening. There were no secrets at the Wiseman household. As a teenager I was embarrassed. I now share this memory with my family.
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Karen,
So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was a very special man to so many. How your parents put up with us in middle school and high school, I’ll never know. I remember once going up to CMU with your family and the Zyrowski’s for an alumni weekend. We all wore silly name tags. We were the Nett sisters, Clara and Cora. Jane was Kay O’Pectate and Al was Ben Gay. Fun memories to comfort you.

Al was just a wonderful person to be around! Even when the barber shop was full of customers you really didn’t mind waiting because you always had good conversations and caught up on all the latest MC news with Al and whoever was there.Condolences to the Gramer family! Bill&Mary Galvin
